About South loop

One of the quickest growing neighborhoods in the city, the South Loop has taken
Chicago by storm. Situated just South of the city center, the neighborhood offers easy
access to Lake Shore Drive and the expressways.

Here you will find the lakefront Museum Campus, which is home to the Field Museum,
Adler Planetarium, and Shedd aquarium. All of the museums host different seasonal
exhibits and experiences to keep Chicagoans coming back! Museum Campus also
offers some of the best views of the city’s skyline from the Skyline Walk along Solidarity
Drive. You can also visit Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears, for a football game
during the season, or a concert during the summer months.

A main feature of the South Loop is the Motor Row District. Once the city’s hub for
automobile manufacturing, the district now offers a brewery, highly-rated restaurants,
and jazz clubs.

The city is underway with continuing its riverfront revival by expanding south into the
neighborhood’s territory. Promises of new condominiums, apartments, and a river walk
serve as an exciting new development for potential residents!
